PDF/EPUB The Dead Place Stephen Booth Ð 9 Download A good but not a great bookFor me the only real reason I read these books is because I simply adore the character of Det Constable Ben Cooper I don't know maybe I'm just a sucker for small town English boys who like history are polite to a fault have a keen sense of justice recognize their own shortcomings and have a catIf I was going to have an imaginary boyfriend Ben Cooper would be itThat being said the ov

Free download The Dead Place Stephen Booth Ð 9 Download review æ E-book, or Kindle E-pub Ð Stephen Booth “This killing will be a model of perfection An accomplishment to be proud of And it could be tonight or maybe next week But it will be soon I promise”The anonymous phone calls indicate a disturbed mind with an unnatural passion for death Cooper and Fry are hoping against hope that the caller is just a harmless crank having some sick fun But the clues woven through his disturbing messag. Poor old Ben Cooper has to investigate the death of a woman who is found on the moors decomposing Inconveniently the records tell us she died in hospital and was buried 18 months earlierThis is another Cooper and Fry book with a solid mystery good atmospherics and plenty of red herrings along the way Diane Fry appears considerably grouchy in this one and Ben has to put up with her moaning She needs something to cheer up her life dont know if Mr Booth is planning on that at all

For about the first two thirds of this book I wasn t sure if I was reading an actual story or a description of the road systemscountryside of the location of it with a bit of story scattered around It was far too descriptive about roads bends in roads flora and fauna etc for my liking It distracted me from the story itself and i found myself skipping sections to get to the next bit of meaty contentThe story itself sort of fizzled out at the end There was no big twist or surprise which I found disappointing If I am totally honest the whole read was a bit of a labour for me I wasn t spurred on and i only read it until the end as i don t like to give up on a book You never know if it will suddenly improve That said the last third of the book was a bit of a faster read and less geographically wordyI dislike writing reviews as they are so subjective My opinion probably means little to anyone else and as for writing I am in awe of anyone who can write a book so I apologise to Mr Booth for this review I hope you aren t too offended although you can t please everyone

An enjoyable read although the subject is death dying and decay Remains of a woman s body are found on a remote Derbyshire hillside and this leads Cooper and Fry on a trail that leads them to death through a trail of dubious academic experts and corrupt funeral directors Fry still seems to be trying to put Cooper down all the time and then appears jealous of his new love interestCriticism the book is over long
