August was written in the same style that it s predecessor Genesis was It takes place over a small amount of time and is basically just 2 people telling their story about how they both got to the place in which they are now in a car upside down dangling over a cliff This book was a meditation on freewill and I thought it was phenomenal It however is not a book for everyone It is not action packed has a very neat Philosophical debatemeditation on free will vs fate The ending of this book is a little bit of a twist but not nearly as big of a twist as Genesis was but I think the plot was just as strong This book describes it s self as a love story but is in no way shape or form a romance that little misconception is why I am willing to bet the rating is so low If you like your books low on actual action but high on the meditation of life and it s purpose then this is your book Looking forward to tackling Lullaby the third book in this trilogy next year Running out of Time over a small amount Kicks Like a Girl of time and is basically just 2 people telling their story about how they both got to the place in which they are now in a car upside down dangling Titus (Luna Lodge, #2) over a cliff This book was a meditation Pick of the Litter on freewill and I thought it was phenomenal It however is not a book for everyone It is not action packed has a very neat Philosophical debatemeditation In the Beginning on free will vs fate The ending İstanbul Kırmızısı of this book is a little bit Pixie #1 of a twist but not nearly as big Pixie #2 of a twist as Genesis was but I think the plot was just as strong This book describes it s self as a love story but is in no way shape Promotion in the Merchandising Environment or form a romance that little misconception is why I am willing to bet the rating is so low If you like your books low Mars Science Laboratory on actual action but high Max Y La Fiesta De Adopcion/ Max and the Adoption Day Party (Read-It! free download ï eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF ë Bernard Beckett summary August author Bernard Beckett ↠ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Bernard Beckett ë 8 summary R the stories of their livesA provocative new philosophical thriller from the author of Genes. It seems I ve been reading a few of these philosophical narratives lately and this is another excellent example This time Beckett considers uestions of free will predestination and omniscience The story is simple yet ingenious and I really enjoyed getting to know the two central characters through whose alternate points of view the story is told I also appreciated the ambiguity of the ending and that Beckett did not seem to feel the need to provide neat answers to the various issues he raisedAlthough it s really uite secondary to August I also very much admired Beckett s world building The setting is what appears to be an energy starved mildly dystopian near future but he never hits the reader over the head with all the details Instead we gradually learn what we need to so that the story works but the rest blurs into the background as I think it shouldA short accessible easy read that asks big uestions Highly recommended
