Blackwood REVIEW My White Dahlia (The Floral Romances Book 1) 100 Tic writer who takes her on Their relationship strained at first eventually leads to a passionate romance between employee and employer. This book is ridiculous The good kind of ridiculous The kind of ridiculous that kept me up into the wee hours of the morning And that left me missing my friends Adette and Dahlia when I had to put the book down Okay I know people overuse the roller coaster analogy for a good storybut I going to use it anyway Seriously But the thing with THIS book is that when the ride is over and just as you re getting off the ride there s a SURPRISE bungee jump This is such a beautifully tragically healing book that left me emotional chapter after chapter Some chapters left me angry some warm and fuzzy some frustrated some grieving some elated some vulnerable But all of it took me on this cathartic journey of not only finding love but of expelling demons along with Adette and Dahlia The dialogue is everything It s so smooth witty crisp raw The realism is what helped connect me to the story There could be a gripping plot but poor dialogue will kill it right uick But not CM Blackwood who has crafted dialogue that evoked reactions from me It just felt effortless and that takes a very talented author I will say that as good as Adette is for Dahlia on a personal levelshe is really bad for Dahlia on a professional level Dahlia didn t really accomplish much once Adette came along but that s okay cause they ll settle inI had many many favorite lines I ve picked out my top two My God I thought I wish I wasn t so fond of women I had never imagined that someone would look at me the way she was looking at me nowI will absolutely be reading this book again Yes it is definitely that good

There is something for everyone in this book that will keep you turning the pagesCM Blackwood has written an extraordinary story about Adette Salazar and her journey of self discovery and Healing The storyline mesmerized me from the beginning to the end It occurs in postwar Britain but this is not where the main character s story actually began I presumed too much in regards to the story as I read the first uarter of the book Suddenly wow everything changed and was filled with diverse characters and a plot that contains romance sex hope darkness frustration and a touch of mystery It was a whirling ride after chapter thirteen filled with drama and intrigue You won t be able to put the book down once you have started The author provides content in each chapter that will keep you asking Who is Adette Salazar what happened in her past and what is going to happen next Don t let the title fool you The book will touch you in a uniue way It has something for every person who is haunted by the past or seeks love trust and hope for a better tomorrow

Blackwood REVIEW My White Dahlia (The Floral Romances Book 1) 100 – but it’s threatened by the secrets they both harbor Can their love save them from the ghosts of days gone by before it’s too lat. If you re going into this expecting a light period romancedon t It reads that way for the first oh third or so but if that s all you re expecting out of it then like me you re going to find it very jarring when it stops being that That isn t a knock on the writing it s decently well done and my criticisms are pretty minor for example the build up between the two main characters seems a little superficial and then all of a sudden they re in I ll do anything for you and I will never leave you love which is or less what I would have expected from the aforementioned light period romance but I definitely would have enjoyed this if I had gone into it knowing that it was going to get into some relatively dark themes It s a good story the characters are interesting and it s definitely worth a read Just don t let the cover or the blurb or the Floral Romances part convince you to put in a reading slot reserved for something fluffier
